Northern Reach/Western Reach[]
The squad was pieced together to give Jeremy Bloomer leadership experience in the field. They were put in Idol Company, 12th Battalion to help suppress uprisings and rebellions in the Northern Reach. They fought with the company and battalion into the Western Reach for several years.
For the most part, the squad was kept off the front lines and given easy tasks to accomplish. While Jeremy Bloomer and Abesamis were oblivious to this treatment, the rest of the squad secretly felt insulted and began to feel some contempt for Bloomer. Kirkland began to respectfully express his frustrations with Bloomer to Marble, Cao, and even Bloomer himself. Although Kirkland's intentions were noble, Marble began feeling disdain towards Kirkland, feeling his actions undermined Alpha loyalty.
During their time in the Western Reach, the squad was assigned two human Freelancers: Tyne and Wayne.
Battle of Patna[]
During the Batte of Patna, Warlord Cao and Hauptman Marble recognized that it would be the deciding battle in the region. They decided to place Jeremy on the front line to give him real battle experience, hoping that having Raven Squad nearby would inspire him. Or, if push came to shove, the Raven Squad would compensate for where Jeremy was lacking.
Despite the overwhelming victory, Daniel Abesamis was killed due to an oversight by Bloomer. Although Bloomer took credit for the squad's performance, those within the squad acknowledge that Kirkland led the squad after the death of Abesamis all but mentally crippled Bloomer.
Dissolution[]
Chieftain Bloomer and other powers that be decided to pull Jeremy off the front lines. For one, despite giving the credit to Jeremy, rumors were spreading about him being an incompetent leader. But more importantly, Chieftain Bloomer and others believed it was time to begin preparing Jeremy for his responsibilities as the next Chieftain of the clan. Immediately following the battle, he was shipped back to Founder's Mesa.
With Jeremy's departure, Cao and Marble decided to dismantle the squad rather than promote a new Sergeant.
Due to Marble's growing disdain for Kirkland, they decided to transfer Kirkland to the Shah Province where he would join Damascus Squad.
Talia and Bryant were both set to fill the empty spots in Raven Squad. But due to protests from Krius regarding Bryant being a former member of the Zeta Clan, Bryant was ultimately shipped to the Shah Province with Kirkland.
